We view this version as the Maps director’s special edition. While not necessarily superior to the original theatrical release, it does offer a distinct experience that arguably presents the artists’ project vision more clearly. In addition to two extra songs, there is a revised song sequence, and a notable guest appearance by Serengeti that significantly alters a third song, even affecting its title. This release comes as a 2XLP in a gatefold cover, accompanied by an insert. The package also includes a beautifully vinyl etching on Side D.
